2010-02-20 12:21:33 Sorry. Your Short Sale Offer Was Rejected
I estimate 8 out of 10 Buyers we are currently working with are wanting to take advantage of either a Short Sale or a foreclosure. Bidding on a short sale can yield fabulous results, but you need to go into negotiations well prepared, with eyes wide open and with realistic expectations. The following are five things to avoid and be aware of as you of as you enter into the world of Short Sales.
Don't offer on a property where the Seller is not willing to cooperate or where they are not even eligible for a Short Sale.
Offering way too little for an already aggressively priced home.
Lengthy time delays because the Seller and/or Sellers Agent are not organized.
Be sure to perform some due diligence and discovery before you even offer on a property. It's critical to know what you are up against.
If the Agents involved are not experienced in Short Sales, you are at a significant disadvantage and will likely have a frustration experience. Avoid working a Short Sale with inexperienced Agents.
